ROANOKE, VA (August 2021) — Member One recently presented a $1,086 check to Vittles for Vets, donating funds raised by Credit Union employees.
Vittles for Vets the latest beneficiary of Member One’s longstanding “Denim Days” tradition. Each quarter, employees select and raise money for a non-profit organization local to the communities the Credit Union serves by “paying” to dress in denim on a designated Friday.
Vittles for Vets (V4V) empowers those who have served our country honorably and have fallen on hard times to see a brighter future through the gift of nutritious food. They provide weekly food gift cards to veterans in need. This is a hand-up program for those men and women who have served our country and now are in need of some assistance.
Member One is honored to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile organization and our veterans. To learn more about Vittles for Vets, visit their website: https://www.vittlesforvetsradfordva.com/
