Member One employees were pleased to assist two local schools by hosting its annual Pens, Paper, and Promise School Supply Drive.
Member One employees donated 22 boxes worth of school supplies, and donations were delivered to two Roanoke City Schools, Fallon Park Elementary School and Stonewall Jackson Middle School.
“Member One’s employees are so loyal to the communities we serve. The items we donated to local schools on behalf of our employees will impact so many local school children and prepare them for the upcoming year,” Andrea Milliron, VP, Community/Business Development at Member One said.

Increasing costs for school supplies often strain family budgets. According to a 2014 report by the National Retail Federation, parents can expect to pay an average of $101.18 per child on school supply costs. Nicole Mitchem, Principal at Fallon Park Elementary acknowledges that these items are critical to prepare children for the school year and are often a financial burden on families.
