Member One Federal Credit Union presented a $1,000 gift to STEP, Inc. on December 22, 2016.
The funding given to STEP, Inc. was raised from Member One’s quarterly “Denim Days for Charities” event. Each quarter, employees donate money in exchange for wearing jeans on a specified denim day. All proceeds raised by employees are donated to a designated organization.
Member One’s gift will specifically support STEP, Inc’s LIFES Academy, which provides an engaging alternative setting for students with special needs. The program helps students shape appropriate attitudes, behavior, and life skills so they realize their potential both academically and socially.
"We are so grateful to Member One and its employees for their support," said Marc Crouse, Executive Director of STEP, Inc. "Their generosity will help us purchase supplies and materials for the students in LIFES Academy, enriching their experience here at STEP."
